Diesel & Heavy Equipment Technology
NOT Intended For Transfer

A program that prepares individuals to apply technical knowledge and skills to repair, service, and maintain diesel engines in vehicles such as Heavy Duty Trucks over one ton classification, buses, ships, railroad locomotives, and equipment; as well as stationary diesel engines in electrical generators and related equipment.

Training, most of which is hands on, will consist of Diesel Engines, Drivetrains, Suspension & Steering, HVAC, Electrical/Electronics, Preventive Maintenance, and other subjects as local industry needs occur.

Graduate should qualify for positions as entry level technicians in the Diesel & Heavy Equipment maintenance and repair industry.

Student will also have the opportunity to earn several Third Party Credentials such as ASE Student Certification, Bendix Brake Certification, and Fontaine Fifth Wheel Maintenance and Overhaul Certification.
