JSCC Foundation Holds 24th Annual Golf Tournament

Stunning blue skies and crisp, clear sunshine set a gorgeous stage on the links at River Landing Country Club for a resoundingly successful JSCC Foundation Golf Tournament. In spite of uncertainty in the economy, 28 teams rallied in support of James Sprunt Community College, and the James Sprunt Foundation in its major fundraising event of the year. Held Thursday, October 1, the purpose of the tournament was to raise funds for scholarships for JSCC students. A record-setting number of 45 hole sponsors also contributed to the cause.

“It is most gratifying to see the continued support for James Sprunt Community College and its students from the surrounding community. We are extremely grateful to River Landing Country Club, Foundation Trustees, the teams, the sponsors, the donors, and all the volunteers that have made this such a successful tournament,” said Dr. Lawrence Rouse, JSCC President. “The College and the community remain committed to each other and to the well being of Duplin County and its citizens.”
