James Sprunt Community College operates an “Open Door” admissions policy that does not impose restrictive standards for admissions and is open to all those 18 or older or whose high school class has graduated. (Those between 16 and 18 years of age may be admitted when special needs are shown. Contact Director of Admissions for details)
Applicants take placement tests to help evaluate their potential for success in their chosen field. The tests will in no way deny admission to any student. If any evaluation of test scores or other evidence shows that an applicant is not ready to enter the program of study selected, they may be scheduled to enter the Basic General Education program to improve their skills.
The College serves all students regardless of age, race, color, creed, sex, handicap or national origin.
