Transfer Counseling

The transfer process can be very confusing and time consuming. Some common concerns are:

  • What are my chances of transferring into a 4-year university?
  • What classes should I take to transfer to a 4-year university with an Associates Degree?
  • What are the benefits of getting my Associates Degree?
  • What are the benefits of transferring to a 4-year college?
  • What are my financial aid options?
  • What are my housing options?
  • When should I apply? How do I apply?

The Transfer Counselor’s goal is to help you navigate the transfer process as smoothly as possible, so please come by and schedule an appointment...the sooner the better!

Campus Tours answer questions about a university that you are interested in attending. The tour gives a more "real" understanding of the school, campus, etc. The visit works like this:

  • We take JSCC transportation to the campus of your choice.
  • Attend a campus tour that allows you to check out the university environment and lay out of the campus.
  • It is possible to set up appointments during the visit with the college of your choice to gain a better understanding of the program that you're interested in.
  • A University admissions official may be available to answer questions you have regarding the application/transfer process.

Please contact the Transfer Counselor for more information on transferring to a4-year university or college and campus tours:
