GENERAL INFORMATION:
We offer over 200 courses in just about every category imaginable! Each subject is presented in an easy to understand format and is facilitated by a professional instructor. Assistance with your course is provided using a discussion area monitored by your instructor and fellow students. Our campus computer lab offers access to the internet and your course if needed. Also, the Coordinator for Computer Programs is available to assist you with accessing your online course.

COURSE DETAILS:

  • All courses run for 6 weeks, offer 24 contact hours and 2.4 Continuing Education Units (CEUs). The cost for each course is $60.00 (you can pay by check or call for credit card procedures).
  • New courses begin every month for all subject areas.
  • Some courses require you to have software loaded on your computer or that you purchase a book. Be sure to check out the “Requirements” list for your course to find out what you need.
  • Access your course anytime 24 hours a day 7 days a week; so you set your own study time and your own pace!
  • Two Lessons are released each week on Wednesday and Friday. Each lesson has a Quiz and there is a Final Exam released with the 12th lesson. You may take the Quizzes over and over again, but we only use the highest score.
  • To successfully complete the course; you must finish all 12 quizzes and the Final Exam with a minimum score of 70%.
  • You can print your entire course out for later reference and study.
  • Very little computer experience necessary—you can do it!
  • Students must be 18 years of age at the start of the course or obtain a Student Release form from their school district.
 
   

FOLLOW THESE STEPS TO ENROLL:

  1. Download the JSCC Continuing Education Registration Form and fill out all items on the form but leave the CID Number, Student Entry Date and Term lines blank. Be sure to indicate the Class Start Date and Title and sign the form.

  2. Next, go to the Online Instruction Center:
    http://www.ed2go.com/sprunt/ and find the course (or courses) you wish to take. Click the link for the course, and then click the “Enroll Now” button. Follow the instructions and be certain to record your Username and Password, you will need it later to log-in to your online course.

     
  3. Mail or bring your completed Registration Form and Course Fee to:

    NOTE: We must receive your registration materials approximately 2-3 days prior to the start of the course.

     

  4. On the start date of your course, go to the classroom link and log-in to your course. Be certain to attempt the first quiz no later than the release of Lesson 3 to verify entry into the course.
