Online Orientation

Students registering for an online or hybrid course at JSCC must complete an online orientation. The information in this orientation will better prepare students for what is expected of them in the online/hybrid classroom. The first assignment in every course will be a multiple choice quiz based in the information provided in this orientation; students are required to score an 80 on this quiz.

Go to James Sprunt's Blackboard login page click on the login button, and enter Blackboard with the following username and password;

Orientation Username: jsccstudent
Orientation Password: student



Open the orientation by clicking on the Online Student Orientation link that appears in the My Courses box on the right-hand side of Blackboard's welcome page. Read the Announcements to find out how to begin the orientation.

Students should login to the courses they registered for and complete the orientation quiz no late than the 4th day of the semester. If you encounter problems, contact your instructor or distance learning support.

Caution: you will not find your online courses in the Orientation. To enter you online courses, you must log out of the orientation and then re-enter Blackboard with your personal username and password.
