Welcome to Distance Learning at JSCC. We provide students opportunities through online courses, interactive video conferencing and a combination of instructional methods (hybrid). Currently, there are nine curriculum programs that provide students the opportunity to complete a percentage of their course work online (Accounting, Agribusiness Technology, Animal Science, Business Administration, Computer Information Technology, Associate in Arts, Associate in Science, Office Systems Technology, and Viticulture and Enology Technology). The Continuing Education division at JSCC also provides online courses through Ed2Go.
Students registering for an online or hybrid course should have basic computer skills and their computer hardware must meet minimum requirements. Our distance learning courses do not have a technical prerequisite. There is an optional online orientation which may assist students in determining their skills and ability to succeed in a distance learning course.
